The Browning Automatic 5 (most often Auto-5 or simply A5), is a recoil-operated semi-automatic shotgun designed by John Browning in 1898 and patented in 1900. It was one of the very first successful semi-automatic shotgun designs, and was produced from 1902 until 1998. The Belgian Made Auto-5's are regarded as some of the best firearms ever produced for Browning.
It features a distinctive high rear end, earning it the nickname "Humpback". The top of the action goes straight back on a level with the barrel before cutting down sharply towards the buttstock. The name of the shotgun came from the fact that it is an auto-loader with a capacity of five rounds, four in the magazine and one in the chamber.
On consignment from a local estate. Has not been test fired by K3 Armory but we were told it functioned perfectly. More photos available upon request.
